The Government of Kuwait’s Boeing 737-900ER BBJ3 spends the night out on Stand 501 at Birmingham Airport, having flown in from Glasgow’s Prestwick Airport with KUG007 for short-term parking during the 2021 United Nations Climate Change Conference – or COP26 – being held in Scotland for almost two weeks in duration.

The event is expected to host in excess of 25,000 attendees, including many heads-of-states, and some of the most influential leaders of the world – including United States President Joe Biden – and has resulted in a large influx of private, presidential and governmental executive aircraft heading to the UK, with several other airfields being used for additional parking capacity outside of both Glasgow and Glasgow Prestwick’s localised facilities.
