A rare visitor to Christchurch, D-ABVY (747-400) operating a repatriation flight for German citizens in New Zealand on behalf of the German government. Four other Lufthansa 747s were observed at Christchurch along with a Condor 767 and Austrian 777 also operating repatriation flights. Auckland also received a fair share of rare movements including Lufthansa A380s, Lufthansa 747 and other European carriers.
