    Total loss of a Classic?

    Oct 28th, 2020

Various media sources are reporting of a major accident at Lake Charles, LA, United States. VQ-BMS, a 41-year-old Boeing 747SP collided with another aircraft inside a maintenance hangar.

The aircraft belonging to Las Vegas Sands Corporation has major substantial damage on the front fuselage and wing. A very unfortunate tragedy, surely it is the same for the other (yet unknown) aircraft involved, but it involves a very rare B747SP. Very few survive and fewer are still airworthy like this one was.
