    Eurofly was established on 26 May 1989 with the aim of selling medium-haul flights to tour operators.
    Alialia had a 45% interest in the original airline, from 2006 Meridiana also became a shareholder.
    In 2010 Meridiana and Eurofly merged to create Italy’s second-biggest airline. The new airline was called Meridiana fly and later just Meridiana.
    In 2018 the airline became part of Air Italy. In 2019 Air Italy had to file for bankruptcy.
