Diamond Air LLC’s 1989 Gulfstream G-IV makes an early morning approach to Runway 33 at Birmingham, arriving from Exeter Airport ahead of a later departure further into Europe the same day.
Their G-IV still wears it’s attractive blue and gold accented livery as painted for the previous owner, the Las Vegas Sands Corporation, the famous Nevada-based casino and resort giant – who operated the aircraft as N883LS during it’s time with them. Today, the Sands McCarran International – based fleet now sits at nearly 20 aircraft, spanning from similar large business jets, up to intercontinental long-range executive airliners.
Capable of over 4,200 nautical miles travel, the G-IV seats around 15-20 passengers in a variety of interior outfits, and is powered by two Rolls-Royce Tay 611-8 turbofans.
