In December 2022 , AirAsia India was renamed as AIX Connect after AirAsia Bhd sold their remaining 16.33% stake to their Joint Venture partner TATA group . TATA Group now also owns 100% of AirAsia India and have renamed it AIX Connect . In the future AIX Connect will be merged into Air India Express as TATA Group looks to have one LCC (AIX Connect + Air India Express) and one FSC Air India (Air India + Vistara) since all these airlines are owned by TATA group .
